Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a complex neurological disorder characterised by involuntary, irresistible body movements and vocalisations. Sufferers of TS often experience social stigma because their condition occasionally leads them to behave oddly and vocalise inappropriately.
"The group includes sufferers, carers and family members who will be sharing information while also enjoying the wide range of great activities we provide. It's a program so welcomed by the participants, and we are privileged to be a part of it," notes centre manager Richard Withycombe.
Tourette Syndrome Awareness Week is 8 to 14 May 2016.
