Just one hour south of the Gold Coast on NSW’s Far North Coast, Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre provides a range of services, facilities and accommodation options for school camps, family camps, kids’ camps, sporting events, weddings, weekend getaways, community programs and more. Set on 118 hectares of coastal land minutes from National Parks and rainforests, Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre is blessed by water – the rugged Lennox Head coastline at its door and the reflective Lake Ainsworth in its midst. There are also tennis courts, a swimming pool and private beach access.

Public transport

There are no public transport options directly to and from Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre. However, there is a private bus stop 500 metres from the Centre, which is on the Blanch’s Bus Company route between Ballina and Byron Bay. There are also train stations at Casino and Grafton. Public transport timetable information is available at transportnsw.info.

Schools travelling to and from the Centre for an outdoor education program are eligible to receive significant discounts on rail transport.
