Swim and Survive
The Office of Sport delivers Royal Life Saving Society’s national Swim and Survive program in regional areas of NSW where limited learn to swim opportunities exist. Lessons cater for children aged 18 months to 12 years and provide everything from water awareness through to developing strokes and endurance. This intensive learn to swim program is delivered for 8 or 9 consecutive week days during January.
There are classes for beginners’ right through to swimmers wanting to improve their technique. Children with special needs can also participate in Swim and Survive where specialist instructors are available. All instructors are qualified and hold AUSTSWIM-accreditation (or equivalent) and a current Working With Children Check.
