The Duke of Edinburgh award is all about gaining new skills, challenging yourself to grow, helping others and explore new adventures. Additionally, you’ll gather new friendships, experiences and build skills.
This 3-day journey begins with a day of training in the practicalities of compass use, map reading and more. Day 2 involves hiking along the local bush tracks to an overnight campsite such as Spring Beach or Little Wobby. On the final day, you’ll continue to hike, taking in breathtaking views of the Hawkesbury River before returning by boat to Brooklyn.
The Bronze Practice Journey is the first of the Adventure Journey and is designed to give you the confidence to safely plan and undertake your Bronze Qualifying Journey.
Children are escorted by Office of Sport staff.
