The Office of Sport’s Southern Region delivers a range of services and initiatives designed to boost sport and recreation in Southern NSW.

With an office in Wagga Wagga, we work in partnership with local and state government and non-government agencies to strengthen the industry and make sport and recreation accessible to all.

This includes consulting with councils, community organisations and sports clubs and providing advice and support to the industry as a whole.

Education and training is integral to this and we are active in running workshops that educate sports clubs on how to run a club, including member protection, creating safe sporting environments, governance, fundraising and grants. We also conduct training for athletes and accreditation for coaches.

Through our partnerships, we facilitate a range of sports programs for athletes, seniors, youth and disadvantaged communities that include seniors sports carnivals, learn to swim programs, walking for pleasure, Indigenous sports tournaments and disadvantaged athlete support.
