Program Officer (casual)

A Program Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of outcome- based outdoor education and recreation programs and services. They facilitate activities on holiday camps and community group programs and deliver school camps in outdoor education. They use the facilities at the centre to deliver fun and inclusive programs to a diverse range of clients.

To apply to be a Program Officer you need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. education, health and/or human movement) and/or a Certificate IV (AGF) Outdoor Recreation
  • Relevant industry experience
  • A current first aid qualification
  • A current Working With Children Check for paid work
  • To be put through a criminal record check

And we would love it if you also have a bronze medallion or equivalent.

Group Leader (casual)

A Group Leader provides supervision and engagement with participants throughout holiday camps and family and community programs at Centres. They facilitate selected activities on holiday camps and foster a positive, inclusive, safe and fun environment for all participants.

Service Officer (casual)

A Service Officer helps the management of a Centre in the overall physical maintenance of a Sport and Recreation Centre. They assist in planned and unplanned maintenance work on buildings, grounds, equipment and vehicles to ensure clients have a safe and comfortable experience. Some experience in ground and building maintenance is required.

Sport Academy of Sport

Customer and Event Assistant (casual)

A Customer and Event Assistant provides high-level customer service and assists in coordinating site operations during programs and events to a diverse range of clients to ensure client satisfaction.

At the Sydney Academy of Sport our clients range from children’s groups, athletes, sports teams, recreational groups, professional sportspeople, corporate and international groups to the general public. 

Your duties may include housekeeping, kitchen duties, bar service or operating either our café or kiosk which includes the preparation and serving of food and beverages. We also use the Customer and Event Assistant as gatekeepers at the athletics track and, if you have the qualifications, as a lifeguard at the pool.

  • A current Working With Children Check for paid work
  • To be put through a criminal record check
  • Food Safety Handler certificate
  • Willingness to obtain a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate to work on functions
  • Willingness to obtain a barista’s statement of attainment to work in the cafe
  • Willingness to obtain a Bronze medallion and First Aid qualification if you want to work in the pool

A Customer and Event Assistant provides high-level customer service and assists in coordinating site operations during events to a diverse range of clients to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to venue rules.  

At the Sydney International Equestrian Centre the Casual Customer and Event Assistants are critical to the success of events. The work they do can include stable preparation, traffic flow and parking management, setting up and packing up of event-related equipment and providing site information as required. Weekday availability is essential and hard-working morning people are especially appreciated.

A Customer and Event Assistant provides high-level customer service and assists in coordinating site operations during events at Sydney International Shooting Centre to a diverse range of clients to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to venue rules.

This includes operating preparing and serving food and beverages, registering client attendance at the shooting range and taking fees, selling ammunition and attending to telephone enquiries.
